I recently took a long day walking tour through various neighborhoods of Amsterdam, and it was unforgettable! My guide was a true expert—he shared countless fascinating stories about both the new and old parts of the city, its culture and architecture. I especially loved how he brought histories to life, sharing stories about famous houses and canals, as well as insights into the lives of locals. One of the highlights of our walk was a visit to the oldest cafe in Amsterdam, where I tried their famous apple pie. It was simply delicious! We also explored one of the hidden courtyards in the Jordaan district, which became a true oasis of calm. This quiet corner with green spaces and cozy benches was the perfect place to stop and soak up the atmosphere. We also took a ferry to a very futuristic part of the city, striking in its modernity. Overall, this eight-hour tour of Amsterdam was not only educational but also very enjoyable. We strolled leisurely, stopping at some authentic spots for a bite to eat and a break. We had a wonderful photo tour in Amsterdam. We were with two children, and it’s not the easiest group, but everything was great, easy, and we adapted the route on the fly. Then I looked at the raw photos, and they’re all great too. I definitely recommend it if you want good portraits from Amsterdam (the location isn’t the easiest for shooting). Pavel is a very pleasant local guide; he’ll tell you about the history and restaurants. We’ll definitely be back, and we’ll be visiting Amsterdam again.

It was our first time visiting the Netherlands. Our trip was quite short, and we only had a few hours to explore Amsterdam.
